The team hold bi-monthly supporting unpaid carers workshops and supporting unpaid carers in the workplace workshops.  They are also able to offer team training sessions either face to face or virtually via Microsoft Teams.

In order to support community councils and community groups the Carer Friendly Team provide free unpaid carers in the community awareness sessions. Which are 30 minute sessions that can be delivered in person or virtually via Microsoft Teams/Zoom. The training is a free, 2.5hour session suitable for anyone who works in any health, local authority, college, third sector or emergency service setting. The session aims to; raise awareness of who unpaid carers are, increase the identification of unpaid carers, enable you/your service to engage with unpaid carers and improve access to information and support that is available for unpaid carers. We do this by looking into each of the following topics; who unpaid carers are, what types of roles they undertake, why people are carers, the barriers unpaid carers face and the effects and the benefits of a caring role. We also look at ways to support unpaid carers, what they are entitled to and reflect how you/your service currently support carers. You are able to book tickets for the bi monthly sessions via Eventbrite. Contact Us {LINK} for more information.
